A Living Legacy in Orange, TX

Founded in 1983 by Marjorie Malloy, Jane Black Kennedy, Joanne Black Jones, and

Susan Black Tiger. The primary beneficiaries are The Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross; The First United Methodist Church of Orange, Texas; St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Orange, Texas; and The Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School performing and fine arts scholarship. Please take a moment to visit the Churches and Red Cross pages from the photos below.

From the family’s love of the Fine Arts, the Malloy Foundation originally awarded one or two Fine Arts Scholarships to Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School seniors annually. The Foundation recently decided to expand the Fine Arts Scholarship opportunity to seniors from all high schools in Orange County! The Foundation’s biggest hope is to inspire fine arts students from our beloved Orange County to spread their passion for the arts, making a difference in the community and the world.

A fine arts education fosters creative expression, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. It develops technical skills, encourages innovation, and promotes personal growth. It also prepares students for professional careers in the arts, blending traditional practices with modern innovation to contribute to culture and society. The Malloy Fine Arts Scholarship supports talented students by reducing financial barriers and encouraging artistic development, recognizing their potential to contribute to the arts.
